Amber is used in Luxon 15k armor, and Jadeite is used in Kurzik 15k armor. Both can be attained by trading in faction. Highly doubt they'll be required for the Canthan FoW armor.

I'm hoping that there will be FoW versions of the new warrior armours as I still prefer the FoW look to what I've seen in the preview event. I was going to get FoW now, as I wanted Gladiator stats without looking a tit (same reason I got Ranger FoW - not to show off or brag about how rich, it was purely because I wanted Druids energy and think normal druids looks stupid on male characters), but I quite like the idea of the 100 AL on Sentinel armour..

I went about in 12v12 with that armour on (PvE factions beta character) saying 'I am SAURON!'. At least I thought it was funny

Sauron wields a mace, no hammer.

Wait! Did anyone suggest introducing maces yet?

Make'em slow like hammers but one-handed and inflicting concussion/dazed.

FoW armor is just like a new toy and gets old. Like wearing the most fashionable clothes that eventually go out of fashion. Now, if you are willing to buy FoW in Cantha ... be aware that it will eventually be considered 'old', just like Tyria's FoW so you better enjoy it while you can and strut your stuff on the catwalk.

But do they do that to uber giant turtles who once had giant canons straped to their back?

I still don't understand why we should have to be punished for buying an expansion just to make the people that DIDNT buy the expansion feel like .. like.. they are still whatever they feel like they are... Its a new game. so Of course it is going to have better stuff in it. All the way through. why should people that buy it and continue to buy chapters be FORCED to accommodate the lowest common factor from chapter 1? If you do the same then all is still fair. its not like we as saying only Americans get to buy factions and we will have all the armor benefits and no one else in the world can buy it but us so now your all owned... No. everyone can get factions. and have access to what everyone else has. I don't see the problem with there being new elite armor that is an equivalent gold sink as FoW armor was and it having better stats. IE the +5 or more AC that we saw on the 15k armors during the event. I mean I would expect that in all reality... If I ONLY bought Factions and could not get and Equivalent to FoW armor I would be rather pissed. Prob more so then the people that got what they did, and now are regretting it. I guess that's known as buyers remorse. Here is a little tidbit. My Uncle bought a Plasma HD TV back in the late 90s when they were close to $20,000. I just got one at best buy a few months ago for $6000, and now I saw the same dang thing over there for $4000... See... Buyers remorse. Once you own a thing you will always regret getting it when you did as the value of it drops almost the instant you buy it. Same is true in game... Its the way the Free markets work folks.

Ingram - you know the answer. Game balance.

Superior elite armor in Factions would not just be unfair to those with Prophecy only, it would also be unfair to people in Factions who can't afford it!

That's why all armor is "balanced". Now, I suspect there will be new elite armor in Factions will all the Factions bonuses (+HP, MM armor, etc.) But, just like FoW armor, it will be cosmetic changes, not stat changes.

but how is the game imbalanced for those that support the game. if you feel slighted just go get factions. problem solved. why is this such a bad thing? I personally think that if this is going to be the case I would rather chapter 3 be stand alone 100% and leave the battle Ilse and the rest of PvP behind so we don't get this arguments every 6 months... So every 6 months New game new PvP, NO problem... But unfortunately then you can't take the same character through everything. I'll buy it and take it up the a$$ again if they do it just for this. but I really don't think we as Loyal Supporting customers should be punished for doing the right thing and buying the games while the freeloaders are catered too in order to keep an imaginary balance for only 20% of the game (and or population that does not upgrade). I know I have been put in my place and I know the reason. It just does not seem logical to me that the people paying the most, get the least, through a common denominator of the few that do not support the game. That's all I'm saying.

Fair is fair. Just buy factions like everyone else does. If you don't then play with what you paid for. And others will play with what they paid for. The common denominator SHOULD be the most recent version. meaning whatever is in the most recent version is the standard. there would not be better stuff in previous versions.
If this is not the case then why would ANYONE buy an expansion. Except for PvE explorable areas. So that means PvP will be what it is now for life. and never change. that is not progress, that's stagnation. ok nuff rant. I think my point is rather clear to the developers. I'll shut my big fat mouth now. Continue your flaming...

Well I think any new armor will be a nice change. Maybe you can leave your old FoW armor on your prophicies characters and get the new FoW with your assassin or ritualist. Sorry if you feel cheated by already having FoW, but just buy some more, haha. Personally, my favorite armor is my Necromancer 15k female bonelace armor dyed gold, it rocks my socks.

Ingram, Loyal customers get access to more skills, more zones to play in, more classes, more slots.

you don't really need better armour than proph to get more.

Anyway fact still remains that the armours seen in Factions were superior to their Proph counterparts in stats and variety of choices.
